A person who makes someone a good friend is whenever they stand up for you whenever someone is either mean to you or rude to you.
They'd be nice to you.
They listen to you.
My best friend, he became my best friend right at the first day when I started preschool.
He's actually really nice kid and I like him a lot.
When I met my best friend We've actually been best friends since I was two, an he was three, he's like my BFF.
I think it makes someone a really good friend when they, like, share with you.
I think that it makes someone a really good friend when, if you're sad, they, like, comfort you.
they're here for you through the ups and downs.
It feels good to have a friend because then you know, like you're not alone.
A friend is someone you enjoy spending time with.
Friends are caring and they like you just the way you are.
Making a friend can feel special and comforting because friends remind us we're not alone.
Friends can disagree, but they listen to each other and work it out.
Let's talk about new adventures.
Me and my family went to Texas because my brother, he was in the Air Force, and we went there for his basic training graduation.
So that was my first time flying, and I was... terrified like during the takeoff.
But after that I was like, oh, this isn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.
When I tried my first rollercoaster, I didn't know what it would be like.
So we were going up a hill, and I was like, grabbing on to my seat.
And then when it went down I just, like, put my hands up.
And my mom was like, (screams) So it was really fun.
New adventures, like moving to a new school or trying a new food, can feel exciting and a little scary at the same time.
That's normal.
Taking it step by step and asking questions can help you feel ready to give it a try.
And sometimes you might discover that a new adventure isn't right for you.
And that's okay too.
Let's talk about bullying.
Some of my friends they've been called bad names.
Maybe they're calling them a little kid.
I've had it happen before.
When I saw someone being treated unfairly, It made me feel a bit sad.
I feel like bullies just want a reaction.
Don't be afraid telling an adult, because you won't be thinking about anything else.
Telling an adult will help you express your feelings.
Someone was like, making it so that I couldn't line up in my line.
And so someone had to com and help me stand up for myself.
You should keep telling an adult until someone believes you and helps out.
Bullying is when someone hurts you on purpose by using mean word or actions over and over again.
It feels terrible.
You might feel like a teapo boiling over, ready to scream.
If bullying happens, tell a trusted adult and keep telling until it stops.
Let's talk about dreams.
I dream about, like, becoming, like a famous musician.
I play, like, songs and stuff like that.
I really get interested in it.
Such as playing my drums.
I have my own set at home.
I wish I could do ballerina, cheerleading, and science.
I want to be a singer and dancer too.
One of my dreams was me becoming a famous artist.
And I want to become a famou artist because I love to draw.
Drawing makes me feel good.
Because I know, like, like, it's sort of my comfort zone.
And so when I draw, it makes me feel happy, and I-I can sort of, like, reset my brain.
Dreams are ideas about what you might want to do or become someday.
They often start with something you love o are curious about and exploring those interests can lead to amazing possibilities.
Let's talk about grit.
When I do my horseback riding lessons, the horses are so tall and I'm so, little to them.
so it's really hard because, like, I need to be stronger at doing that, and I need to focus and like not looking down at the ground and like looking up and it's just really hard but I get through it.
So I play soccer.
And I used to like whenever I would get the ball, I would panic.
And I wasn't sure exactly what to do, bu I just worked on my confidence.
It feels goo because it's like you overcome this challenge, so it's rewarding.
Having grit means you keep going and don't give up even when something is hard.
Learning new skills or finishing a big task can sometimes feel tricky, but remembering that you have inner strength can help you keep trying.
So roar like a lion!
Let's talk about community sadness.
I saw the community helping out when there was a car crash.
But I didn't actually see the car crash.
Just like I saw what happened, and like, I saw, like, all the cars.
Whenever there's an emergency, you'll see first responders going to help.
I saw police officers, the ambulance, and the fire department coming to help.
When that happened, I just looked down so I wouldn't see it, and it would just help me.
Me and my parents will usually call my oldest brother and his fiancé because they definitely make me laugh.
A lot.
So that usually helps.
When something difficult happens, caring adults work hard to keep everyone safe.
Talking with someone you trust can help your heart feel lighter.
Communities come together to support one another during difficult moments.
Let's talk about responsibilities.
My responsibility at home is to make sure my room is clean and my stuffies are all in a neat pile.
When I do that, I'm like, "ugh no, not again."
Because I don't really like doing that.
I think it's important because my parents won't trip over i when they're going to my closet.
Walking to school, that's one that I enjoy because I get peace from my little brother.
if you're responsible like take the trash out, walk the dog, feed the fish, your parent going to trust you with more responsibilities like having your own set of keys, because if you do that, you can't lose them.
Responsibilities are thing you are trusted to take care of, like homework, chores, or helping others.
Each time you follow through, you build confidence and show others they can depend on you.
Let's talk about teamwork.
I'm not really used to teamwork because you have to, like, combine each other's ideas.
Really sometimes teamwork cannot be very easy.
Like somebody knows something about a video game, someone's talkin about an animal, and a building.
And like I don't even know what to do.
When I worked with other kids to do soccer, it was really hard because, like, I had to yell pass and communicate with them while I was running and that' not a thing that I can do well.
And so it was really hard.
But then like in the beginning of one game, in the first minute, I shot a goal.
All my teammates were cheering me on and it was really good.
Teamwork means everyone workin together to get something done.
On a team, each person has a role.
One person might have an idea, someone else helps build it, and together, big things become possible.
Let's talk about the weather.
Sometimes in, like, the middle spring, it'll just be randomly snowing, and I'm just like, yuck!
Today it's, like, so windy.
There's tiny ice hitting my grandma's car window.
And I'm really afraid.
When it's summer I'm happy that I tell my parent that I want to go to the beach.
whenever the weather's sunny it can also make your mood happier.
When the weather surprised me, it was a stormy day.
Whenever it would thunder or lightning, I would just, like, jum like five inches out of my seat.
When there was lightning it scared me.
So I run into my mommy's room.
It also scares me too, like just like the big booming sounds Weathe is a natural part of our world and learning about it can help you feel safe and prepared.
Every kind of weather has its own special features.
It's important to know how to take care of yourself like wearing sunscreen on a sunny day, or putting on a hat and gloves when it's cold.
Let's talk about conflict.
Me and my sister kind of fight a lot because we have to share our room.
And, sometimes she throws her books on my side and, I try to tell her that, your books should be on your side, and then she just never really takes them back to her side and we always get mad at each other.
I was kind of mad and annoyed because she wouldn't take the books off my side, and I was trying to keep my side clean.
My brother wanted to do the same thing as me.
And I didn't want him to do the same thing as me.
I felt mad, But then once we had both cooled down, we talke and we played peacefully... ish.
Have you eve argued about whose turn it is?
That's a conflict.
Conflict can feel frustrating.
Share your feelings calmly with an 'I Feel' statement.
Pick a solution that you both agree on.
And remember, keep kindness first.
Let's talk about tough times.
For me, when I do tough times, I want to get past it and try to work through it and try to ask for help and see what I did wrong in the situation.
For me, I like to have somebody else there.
But I know that for some othe people, they want to be alone.
A sad thing is global warming.
When the world is sad I try to make them feel better.
with something that everybody likes, so maybe like candy or something like that.
Also I try just to feel good myself.
I try to take deep breaths and it helps me calm down.
Toug times are a normal part of life for everyone, but they don't last forever.
Experiencing the loss of a pet, illness, or parent's divorce is challenging.
Sharing your feelings with someone who cares is a great wa to help your heart feel lighter.
Let's talk about tech safety.
I like to play with my cousins a lot on games.
It's fun because you can let your imagination go wild and build like a bunch of crazy stuff.
I have a screen time because I've been playing it too much and I know I wasn't supposed to.
My parents put on one hour.
I felt a little angry because my parents are, like, kind of strict.
So, there was, like, peopl texting each other weird stuff, I don't know.
So my dad put a can't chat to anyone or see any chats.
If I haven't met the person in real life, then, I can't be friends with them online.
Tech safety keeps you protected from harm when using phones, computers, and online games.
They all can be fun.
But sometimes something you see or watch might feel weird, confusing, or upsetting.
When that happens, it's okay to pause and talk to a trusted adult to feel better.
