On Aug. 18, 1922, WKAR first took to the air waves as an AM radio station, broadcasting agricultural news and information from Michigan State University. It will include events and a lot of opportunities for the community to come out and engage with WKAR, engage with other community members.

- I've been at WKAR for almost seven years but my story goes a lot farther back than that.
I watched WKAR as a child.
I grew up on WKAR and NPR content.
My husband worked here and then my daughter started to work here and was also on Curious Crew.
So WKAR has been in my family for a long time.
We create local content right here at WKAR thanks to the support for Michigan State University.
And that content goes all over the United States.
So we have a local focus, but a national impact and that's all because of our community members who support us every day.
